Joanna Privett, BFA Membership Manager met Frank Deer, Master Builder, owner, and proprietor at their workshop in Cowes, and was able to see first hand where the magic happens.

Always keen to source quality oak and walnut as their timber of choice, the materials are turned into elegant cabinetry, with every detail checked meticulously to ensure it meets the highest standards.  For homeowners seeking a kitchen that blends tradition with innovation, Bagshots offers a truly bespoke experience.

What sets Bagshots apart is their commitment to traditional carpentry, enhanced with modern technology. Frank, now in his 70s, is very proud of what they have achieved. He showed me how they design from start to finish with the latest equipment, AI, and of course, years of experience.

As a Master Builder, Frank has won several awards over the years and is keen to ensure that the Bagshot brand lives on.  Having trained his son to take on the family business, he told me that they have so much work, they end up turning things away.

Finding extra skilled workers to help with expansion has been the main challenge, with a lot of the experienced workers he needs being on the UK mainland; however, with a focus on the support his business can bring to the sector locally, he is keen to work more closely with the carpentry college on the island to enhance the skills of the trainees.

It was very clear that Bagshot’s has been highly successful through a blend of cutting-edge technology and a solid ethos of quality-focused design of timeless classic style. Now part of the BFA community, Bagshots is pleased to be able to use the BFA logo as a further sign of its prestige and quality reputation.
