Handcrafted Statement Tables: How RockVine Elevates Everyday Spaces

11 February 2026

Joanna Privett, Membership Manager, recently had the pleasure of visiting RockVine Artisan Surfaces, who trade under the name River Tables Rock Ltd. Based in Stockport, the business is led by founder and creative mind Steve Brocklesby, whose varied career has ultimately led him to a clear niche: designing and making beautiful, bespoke furniture.

With backing and support from business partner Mark Irvine, RockVine is making its mark in the world of custom furniture by turning raw, industrial materials into striking, handcrafted polished concrete table centrepieces.

The business has not had an easy journey. After severe flooding at their previous premises resulted in significant losses, they relocated to a new workshop and showroom in Stockport. The new space is light, airy and inspiring, with a range of finished pieces on display alongside works in progress. Each table is a showcase of meticulous craftsmanship and creative design, intended not just to furnish a room but to transform it.

Steve’s willingness to experiment with techniques, textures and finishes has led to a number of unusual visual effects that make each piece truly distinctive. Customisation sits at the heart of RockVine’s philosophy; the team works closely with clients throughout the process to ensure every table earns its final stamp of approval. Nothing is mass-produced: every piece is handcrafted with care, resulting in genuine individuality and quality. With more than 700 tables created over the past five years and a 99% customer satisfaction rate, their track record speaks for itself.

That artisan approach is gaining wider attention. RockVine is now collaborating with Channel 4’s Grand Designs, with several bespoke pieces in development – including a cloud-shaped polished concrete table that promises to be a real conversation starter. It was fantastic to see a small, design-led manufacturer not only surviving but thriving at a time when many businesses are facing real challenges.
