Retaining the Interiors Monthly titles for Best Trade Association and Best Business Support, BFA MD Phil Spademan reflected on another successful 12 months and thanked voters for their support.

Phil said: “It is no mean feat to have retained these two important titles for three years running and we don’t underestimate how meaningful it is that the Interiors Monthly Awards voters are readers who have in-depth industry insight and knowledge that informs their voting choices.

“The recognition of the work the BFA has done to benefit businesses and the furniture industry as a whole over the last year is highly valued and we’re grateful to every person who has recognised that with their vote.”

BFA members can access a wide range of business assistance from the Association, from technical support, free legal advice and discounted services to guidance and information on Environment and Social Governance.

The Association also regularly surveys its members on a number of subjects, producing reporting and analysis that helps businesses identify long-term patterns in sales, labour costs and material prices, and sets a data-driven baseline for forecasting.

Phil Spademan added: “Relevant, in-depth business support is a key function of a trade body, and we’re extremely pleased to receive this clear recognition of the work we’ve been doing in this area.

“Being awarded Best Business Support demonstrates that our commitment to providing a comprehensive suite of services for members continues to be valued by our membership.”

Alongside a focus on business, BFA cultivates community, provides benefits to members and acts as a voice of authority for the sector through its campaigns, PR and lobbying activities.

Regional meetings and forums are a key part of the BFA’s work to bring the sector together through learning opportunities, networking and events, such as the Furniture Component Expo.

This year, the expo was bigger than ever and featured an Innovation Trail for the first time, highlighting products and services that are on the cutting edge of invention.

The event also included the BFA’s Future of Furniture Awards, which recognise BFA members who showcase excellence in Sustainability, ESG and Education, as well as shining a spotlight on an individual who has demonstrated leadership as a Sustainability Champion.

Phil Spademan said: “We are dedicated to supporting UK manufacturers, suppliers and retailers in flying the flag for British furniture, and this is reflected in the Best Trade Association award, which shows we are doing all we can to amplify the voice of the industry among key decision-makers across our membership and at regional and national levels.”
